The last week has seen us roll out a number of new updates to our fundraising products. These have been designed to help charities increase donation conversions and to improve supporters fundraising experiences. These are part of the continuous development of our products to help charities raise more for their causes.
Guest checkout functionality
One of the most significant updates is adding the functionality to use the donation checkout as a guest. This is helpful for donors who have forgotten their log-in, as well as for first time donors and those who just want to make a one off donation. By providing this option, it will help charities we work with to continue to drive up their donation conversion rates.
Live Streaming
There have also been a number of developments to make it easier for supporters to add content to help their fundraising. Supporters can now live stream their activities by embedding YouTube links onto their page updates, and these can be set to autoplay to show live coverage of their activities. This will enable supporters to stream all their activities direct to their donors. We’ve also added in the functionality to upload photos alongside their fundraising posts as well plus the ability to post hyperlinks in the updates section.
Virtual races up and running
The integration with Strava also continues to be developed to help charities with the creation of virtual events, enabling new activities such as virtual races, team relays and distance events to be held. Now a fundraiser’s activity type logged in Strava, such as a run or swim, is automatically shown on the fundraisers page updates and the addition of a “view in strava” button enables a user to see the original activity within the Strava app.
“We are always looking at ways we can help put charities first when we are developing our product offering. The addition of the guest checkout is something we know is going to help donation conversion rates, as shown by the testing we did with a handful of charities. We are also delighted to continue to add incremental improvements for supporters’ experiences so they can get the most out of their fundraising journeys. The live streaming and virtual races will really help charities build their virtual events.”

Reporting made easier
Finally there have also been a number of updates to reporting for charities, such as adding supporter IDs to reports, the ability to search by supporter ID, and changing of default targets. These are all part of the ongoing development of our products.
