London Marathon update for charities

The whole team is excited that today we officially change our name and brand to Enthuse – you can have a look at our video to find out more or read on!

We chose the name Enthuse because it describes the feeling a donor experiences the moment they donate. It celebrates the spirit of fundraisers and encapsulates our proactive fundraising team, who enable charities to make their impact on the world – our Enthusiasts!

Company growth

The launch of our new brand comes as the sector rapidly moves to online fundraising. The Online Donations Report 2020 showed that online donations were up 26% year on year. Covid-19 has accelerated this change with the impact it is having on charities’ abilities to fundraise while facing increasing demand for their services. The rapid shift is underlined by the 155% year on year growth we have seen in our payments processing volumes for March-June.

This is another step in our company growth plan, following our £2.75 million seed investment round last year. Since we acquired Primo Events in 2019, we’ve been working hard to integrate the two businesses, and the Enthuse name marks the coming together of CharityCheckout and Primo Events into one brand, one company and one team. It means we’re the first organisation in the sector to offer fully integrated fundraising and events technology to help your charity raise more for your cause.

“From day one we have been committed to putting charities first, and we celebrate the sector unashamedly. We fight wholeheartedly for the enthusiasm, strength and resilience of fundraisers. In challenging times and in the face of adversity, they make the world a brighter and better place.

Our role is to put charities above anyone else. That’s why we don’t bombard a charity’s donors with marketing messages and we will never put our logo all over their fundraising pages. Our respectful and ethical approach to data and branded solutions put a charity centre stage. Our core purpose is to help them do more for their cause.”

New solutions

We’re continually developing and rolling out new solutions to help charities make the most from digital fundraising. Just in the past month we’ve rolled out virtual events, virtual races, automatic creation of fundraising pages for event participants, Strava integration and live streaming amongst other developments.  Our products are all customised under a charity’s own brand and put you in control of your data and marketing activities. This allows charities to build and nurture loyal supporter bases, raise more funds and ultimately have more impact.

Our virtual events capability enables charities to create remote participation events and fundraising challenges based on both individual and overall event targets. These targets can be either distance or time based, as well as virtual races or relays, and the direct integration with Strava allows easy tracking and updating, whether for an outside or at home virtual event. The product also provides automated fundraising page creation, under a charities’ brand, which reduces page abandonment to help charities raise more for their cause. The addition of live streaming enables a charity’s supporters to show their activities in real time directly to their donors.

Award winning operations

Finally, we’ve also renamed our products into Enthuse Donations; Enthuse Fundraising and Events; Enthuse Community Fundraising and Enthuse Corporate Fundraising. Our award winning UK based operations team will continue to provide dedicated support across the products to enable charities to develop the most impactful campaigns and continually improve their conversion rates.

The new brand is the next chapter in our vision to become the number one for online charity fundraising in the UK, Ireland and beyond. The rebrand work was undertaken in-house and included a consultative process with customers to understand their changing requirements.
