On its 45th anniversary the 2025 TCS London Marathon set a new world record for the biggest annual one-day fundraising event, beating its own record set in 2024.

The fundraising total for the 2025 event has already gone over the £75 million mark, ensuring it surpassed the £73.5 million raised twelve months ago.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Enthuse, the official online fundraising partner of the TCS London Marathon, has raised over £34 million to date through the platform which is up 26% on the same time a year ago, with the donations still rolling in.

“An inspiring day with a record-breaking amount raised for charities yet again. We’re so proud to enter the first year of our new 10 year contract as the official fundraising partner for the TCS London Marathon, with £34 million raised for good causes through our platform so far.”

“The appetite to take part in the Marathon is the highest it’s ever been and we’re really excited about the difference we can make over the next decade as the official fundraising partner, as we strive to help charities raise as much as possible while putting their brand first.”

Chester Mojay-Sinclare, Founder & CEO, Enthuse

The fundraising record wasn’t the only world record to shout about this year, with the TCS London Marathon also picking up the title of the world’s largest ever marathon, with over 56,000 participants finishing the course.

What’s more, an incredible 1.1 million people have entered the ballot to take part in the 2026 event, which is the highest number of applicants the TCS London Marathon has ever received. This is a real testament not only to the quality of the event but also the public’s appetite to take on mass participation events.

“The 2025 TCS London Marathon broke many records… and this fantastic news means that we have already exceeded our own world record of £73.5 million from 2024 as the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event. That is a wonderful achievement and huge thanks to every single person who fundraised and to all those who donated to a huge array of charitable causes.”

Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events

The Enthuse team is delighted to see such a brilliant amount of money go to so many worthy causes this year and we’re really excited at the positive impact this will undoubtedly make.

We will continue to put charities at the forefront of fundraising over the next decade to ensure days like these lead to long term supporter relationships.
